Jubilee supper

THe members of the City of Londonderry Grand Orange Lodge have thanked the ladies committee who supplied a sumptious supper after their quarterly meeting on Wednesday.

The meeting took place in Kildoag Orange Hall at 7.30pm and was widely attended by Brethren.

Discussions took place about the Jubilee Parade, which was held on Saturday in the Waterside, as well as the Covenant Day in Belfast, on September 29, as well as arrangements for July 12 which will take place to Macosquin.

The City Grand Master said he holed everyone would have a great day in Coleraine this year, and appealed for a good turnout for the Sunday Service, which will be held on July 8 to Kilfennan Presbyterian Church.

The meeting finished with a Jubilee supper supplied by the ladies of Kildoag, and featured bunting and suitable decorations as well as memorabilia reflecting the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s accession to the Throne.

The Jubilee Parade on Saturday through the Waterside was widely attended by Brethren, Sisters and Juniors all associated with the City of Londonderry and the route took in many of the residential areas of the Waterside that would not normally be visited by parading Loyal Orders.

The City Grand Master and his officers thanked the organisers for their meticulous eye for detail and the stewards for marshalling the parade.
