The first cookery demo ‘Winter Warmers’ event will be held on Friday, October 21, from 1- 3pm, at West Bann Development Centre.

It has been organised for Positive Ageing Month of October by Iain McAfee, health co-ordinator for Neighbourhood Renewal Coleraine, and Joann Dunseith, co-ordinator of Good Morning Causeway.

This event is open to anyone over the age of 50 from the Neighbourhood Renewal areas in Coleraine.

It will include speakers and information about keeping your home warm and energy efficient, as well as ensuring that you are getting all the financial support available.

Radio Ulster celebrity chef, Paula McIntyre will also be in attendance to provide some useful hints for cooking up tasty, nourishing dishes that are important to eat during the winter months.

Winter warmer packs, containing an assortment of items, will be given out at the event.
