Greggs brings 14 new jobs - and burritos - to Ballymena

The opening of Gregg's Fairhill store on Thursday (10 November) will bring 14 new jobs to the town.

It is the seventh company-managed Greggs shop to open in the last eight months – and the first to be located outside the Greater Belfast area.

The shop will offer the full range of Greggs products – from its famous baked savouries and great value coffee menu to confectionary products, salads, soups and freshly prepared sandwiches. The shop will also stock new Christmas lines including Greggs iconic Festive Bake, which has been hotly anticipated across the UK – as well as Turkey, Bacon & Cranberry Rolls, Turkey & Ham Baguettes and Christmas Lunch Toasties.

Customers can also try the new Mexican-style Burritos which have been hugely popular since their introduction to all UK Greggs shops a few weeks ago.

As part of its commitment to offer lighter, healthier alternatives, customer will also be able to try Greggs’ popular Balanced Choice range including its recently-launched sourdough bakes, which are less than 300 calories.

The new Greggs shop will be managed by Julie McKnight who said: “I’m delighted to be leading our team in this new shop. Fairhill is a very popular and busy shopping hub in the heart of Ballymena and we’re excited to bring a taste of Greggs to all who use this great facility. They can expect a very warm welcome!”

The new shop is open Monday to Wed (8am – 6pm); Thus & Friday (8am – 8pm); Sat (8am – 6pm) and Sun (1pm to 6pm).
