Approximately 60 people attended the Gleno village plan consultation evening, organised by the Gleno Valley Community Association.
The aim of the evening was to gather the aspirations, hopes and concerns of the village, what people wanted to keep or restore and what they felt potential funding if sought should be spent on.
The evening was extremely well attended, with representatives from the Rural Development Programme, Larne Borough Council, Gleno YFC, Gleno Women’s Institute and Gleno Playgroup in attendance. Locals and past community members were also invited to participate in the consultation.
The village plan was funded by DARD’s Rural Development Programme and Larne Borough Council.
The information and feedback from the evening will be collated and will form part of an action plan, other consultation methods included a community questionnaire, a Facebook page and face-to-face interviews in the village.
Gleno Valley Community Association would like to thank everyone who attended the event and for their contribution.
