Club members were stationed along the route as the funeral cortege made its way to the church, where boys and girls, in their green jerseys, formed a guard of honour at the entrance.

Fr Noel McDermott, in his homily, said that “God gifted Kevin with an amazing skill as a footballer” and “he was a source of great encouragement to the younger people in the club too”.
