Foyle got £200k extra due to split site status

FOYLE and Londonderry College received over £200k in extra funding over the past five years because it operates on two sites in the city.

Under the Common Funding Scheme for the local management of schools the Londonderry school qualifies for extra money because it operates across two distinct campuses at Northland Road and Duncreggan Road.

Class teaching and learning must take place on both sites and a minimum of 15 per cent of the total pupil enrolment must be based on each of the sites for schools to qualify.
