Frankie Cunningham, Project coordinator explained: “The basis for this small community-led event was to develop the Local Empowerment and to target specific groups especially women within the PIP II application. Thanks to the funding, the candidates now have a recognised qualification that will allow them to deliver programmes/projects – that brings the greater community togetherness (Social Inclusion), strengthen both personal and community capacity and that raises community spirit (Community Cohesion).”

This social event was supported by Ultoniae Cultural & Heritage Society, through the PIP II initiative (Local Empowerment and Women) - funded by the ‘International Fund for Ireland’.
