Focus on Family leads Power NI’s energy saving Quest

Focus on Family has become the first of six finalists to complete the second stage of Power NI’s new community energy saving competition, Quest.

If they continue to be the first to complete the bespoke ten-step energy saving programme, they could win a fantastic £10,000 to be invested in renewable technology and other energy saving initiatives for their community.

During the second step the group had to complete 100 online home energy checks through the Power NI website, which they were able to complete in just over a month. This gave all group members and Quest participants a personalised energy report to help identify how they could save money and energy within their home. They are now working on step three which is to source 25 eligible free insulation referrals within their community.

Focus on Family project manager, Brendan Patterson said: “Hearing that we were the first group to progress to step three was brilliant news.

“We are dedicated to helping people in the local community think about their energy bills nd Quest is already making a difference with this.”
