Final call for Moonlight walkers

ACTION Cancer is making a final appeal to the men and women across the country to come out on Friday June 15 at 9pm and join Cool FM’s Pete Snodden and be a part of their MoonLight Walk.

The 10 mile walk starts at Cooke Rugby Club at Shaw’s Bridge to the City Hall and back again. If 10 miles is a stretch too far, why not take part in the new Half Moon option of four miles?

A Zumba warm up starts at 7.30pm and all participants are encouraged to dress in pink – the crazier the outfits the better – to help raise awareness of the charity’s services. Everyone taking part receives a pink T-shirt and bag for life and there are prizes for best dressed individuals and teams.

Registration for the Moonlight Walk is £20 and Action Cancer is encouraging participants to raise a minimum amount of £80 - the average cost of a mammogram to the charity.
