Film will whet appetites...

SCREENWRITER Gianni Di Gregorio's debut feature Mid August Lunch will be featured by the Magic Lantern Film Society tomorrow Thursday, March 11, as part of their new season at the Nerve Centre.

Di Gregoriogarnered three awards for the film at the Venice film festival two years ago. Charming and unpretentious it centres on a morose middle aged man lumbered with the task of looking after four elderly ladies over a sweltering bank holiday.

Intelligent, gentle, deadpan humour, characterises the feature making it entirely irresistible.
