Larne Cemetery has enough graves left to last for over two years, the local authority has claimed.
At the latest meeting on Larne Council, Councillor Gregg McKeen asked for an update on the current grave provision at the cemetery.
Chief executive Geraldine McGahey told members there are just over 200 unsold plots, and a further 50 could be created. A total of 150 plots are currently sold but unused.
Cllr McKeen also asked for an update on the planned extension. The Press was excluded from the chamber for this part of the discussion, which took place under ‘legal and confidential matters’.
