Dobson gives her support to carers
Carers have been given the backing of local Ulster Unionist MLA Jo-Anne Dobson as they celebrate Carers Week.
“Carers are the unsung heroes within our community, in many cases dedicating decades of love, care and attention to help others,” said Mrs Dobson who is Ulster Unionist health spokesperson:
“It’s concerning to hear that almost one in three carers are in debt at a time when, through their efforts, they continue to save the Stormont billions of pounds every year,” she said.
“I will be raising the plight of carers with the new Health Minister. We must care for those who care.”
