Deaths in the local community

The death took place at hospital on January 3 of Lillian Farr, late of 6 Broadwater Park, The Willows, Aghalee, and formerly of Shore Road, Ballinderry.

She was the wife of the late Cecil, mother of Dianne and Valerie, mother-in-law of Brian and Noel and grandmother of Jonathan, Adele, Timothy, Duncan, Nicholas and Stuart.

Her funeral was on Friday to Glenavy Parish Church followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Joseph Doran

Joseph (Joey) Doran, of 57 Grattan Street, Lurgan, died peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on January 4.

He was the husband of Rosaleen and father of Marian, Gerard, Raymond, Jim, Sharon and the late Martin.

His funeral was on Friday to St Peter’s Church followed by burial in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Leo Creery

The death took place peacefully at home on January 5 of Leo Creery, 5 Rosemount, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Brid and father of Aideen, Leonie and the late Nuala.

He was the brother of Eileen, Colette, Desmond and the late Christopher, Patrick, Ria and Ena.

His funeral was on Saturday to St Peter’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Joseph Morrison

Joseph (Joe) Morrison died suddenly at his home, 13 Princeton Avenue, Lurgan, on January 5.

He was the husband of Joan and father of Lyn, David and Richard.

His funeral service was on Saturday in Malcomson’s Funeral Home followed by burial in Lurgan Cemetery.

William Archer

The death took place suddenly on January 5 of William (Billy) Archer, Russell Drive, Lurgan.

He was the brother of David, Marie, Jim and the late Ethel.

His funeral was on Sunday from his home to Lurgan Cemetery.

Norman Fenning

Norman Fenning, of St John’s Terrace, Moira, died suddenly at home on January 6.

He was the husband of the late Anna, father of Ethel and Norma and father-in-law of Victor and the late James.

His funeral was on Sunday to St John’s Parish Church with interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Christopher Lawson

The death took place peacefully at the City Hospital, Belfast, of Christopher Lawson, husband of Angela, 70 Bluestone Hall, Craigavon.

He was the father of Jordan, brother-in-law of Leeanne and uncle of Emma and Luke.

His funeral service was on Monday in St Colman’s Church, Clare, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Rowland Kerr

The death took place peacefully on January 7 at Craigavon Area Hospital of Rowland Kerr, 8 Springwell Drive, Taghnevan, Lurgan.

He was the husband of the late Jean, father of Elizabeth, Patsy, Ronnie, Gladys, Phyllis and Paul and brother of Maurice and Gilbert.

His funeral was on Tuesday to Queen Street Methodist Church with interment in Mullavilly Parish Churchyard.
