With dancers coming from across County Antrim and beyond and music by Ballynure Sounds, the sprung floor at Ballyclare Town Hall really did move.

During the event, local woman Catherine Higgins handed over £500 to the charity - money she raised by taking part is year’s Belfast City Marathon.

Sylvia Bell, treasurer of the Sixmile Fundraising Group commented: “As a result of the Blooming Great Tea Party Tea Dance, almost £400 was raised to support the work of Marie Curie. We would like to thank Andy and Jean from Ballynure Sounds, also The Paper Shop, Bert McCormick and Brackenwood Property Services for selling tickets. A big thank you also to Catherine for her support from running the marathon.”

The group is now planning a Blooming Great Tea Party with ASDA and a Sixmile Sponsored Walk & Teddy Bears’ Picnic.
