THREE senior girls from Cairncastle Highland Dancers will perform in Derry’s City of Culture year.

Jillian Wharry, Jodie Mills and Kathy McAleese travelled to Londonderry last month accompanied by tutor Kathryn Stewart, to audition for a spectacular Walled City Tattoo.

They will be part of a 600-strong cast performing music, song, dance and theatre.

The girls from the highland dancing school say that they are “incredibly thrilled” to have been selected for the “once in a life time opportunity with lots of hard work and rehearsals in the months ahead.”
