Woman left 'extremely shaken' after hijacking in Dungannon

A 30-year-old woman was left extremely shaken after two men armed with a knife pulled her from her car in Dungannon town centre.

Police are looking for a white Mercedes A Class which was hijacked at Union Place in the town around 5.45pm yesterday.

Mid Ulster police said in a social media post that the hijackers made off in the car in the direction of Greers Road.

"The hijackers are described as one being in his 40s or 50s and the other in his 20s and both wearing hoodies," reads the post.

"We are asking anyone who sees the car, registration OY1 4XPP, or who knows the whereabouts or identity of the suspects to contact police by calling 101, quoting reference 1573 07/10/20."
