Weapon found
Detectives in Foyle have recovered a suspected firearm in the Springhill Road area of Creggan.
The suspected firearm was recovered during planned searches in the area last night, Wednesday 3 August. Army Technical Officers were tasked and the item was taken away for further forensic examinations.
Detectives are investigating and would appeal to anyone with information to contact them at Strand Road on 0845 600 8000.
