Hide AdShe said the defendant’s car was detected travelling at 98mph, 38mph in excess of the limit for the road.
McCloskey, who was not professionally represented, said she was in a rush back home as her husband had taken ill.
She said it was an emergency and she hadn’t notice what speed she was doing.
Deputy District Judge Noel Dunlop said it was “a high speed” but accepted that it was an emergency situation.
