Road ban for Greenisland R driver who hit speed of 91mph

An R driver detected doing more than twice his permitted speed of 45mph has been banned from the roads for a month and fined £200.

James Green (21), of Kinbayne Avenue in Greenisland, hit a speed of 91mph on the A8 dual-carriageway - a 70mph zone - on March 24 last year.The defendant pleaded guilty at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday of last week (December 7).
