Motorcyclist sustains broken ankle after hit and run collision in Larne

Police have launched an appeal for information following a hit and run road traffic collision in Larne yesterday (Monday).

Detailing the incident, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Police in Larne are appealing for witnesses to a hit and run road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist and what is described as a blue coloured pick-up style vehicle.

“As a result the motorcyclist has sustained a broken ankle.

“Were you travelling on the Deerpark Road, Larne, on Monday, September 21 at approximately 9.50am?

“Did you see either the motorcyclist or the blue coloured pick-up style vehicle? Do you have dash cam footage? Were you the driver of the pick-up style vehicle?

“If you have any information which may assist police in identifying the driver of the pick-up, please phone us on 101, quoting reference number 454 of 22/09/2020.

“Alternatively, you can phone the charity Crimestoppers confidentially on 0800 555 111.”
