Co Antrim pursuit: Men released following questioning

Two men aged 36 and 37, who were arrested on Tuesday afternoon following a police pursuit, have been released following questioning to allow for further police enquiries.

The men were arrested on November 22 after police officers deployed stinger devices as the car was travelling along the Ballysillan Park area of north Belfast. The vehicle stopped and a number of items were recovered following the incident.

Providing an update today (Wednesday), a PSNI spokesperson said: “The pair were arrested after a Citroën C3 car, which failed to stop for police in the Ballyclare area, was stopped by officers using a stinger device in north Belfast.“Enquiries are continuing, and an investigation is underway. Anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with dash cam footage is asked to call police on 101, and quote reference number 1044 22/11/22.
