Attempted oil tank theft in Cookstown

Police are investigating a report of criminal damage after the attempted theft of an oil tank in the Sullenboy Park are of Cookstown.

Const. Neil Devecchis said: “On Thursday 19 November, the oil heating system at a property in the Sullenboy Park area of Cookstown was damaged.

“Police think the damage may have been caused by someone attempting to steal the oil in the tank.

“Police have asked that anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Sullenboy Park area between 4pm and 5pm to call 101 and quote the reference number 1132191115.

“Alternatively information about crime can be passed via the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.”
