Council screen film as part of good relations programme

Lisburn City Council, as part of its Good Relations Programme, is inviting interested residents and community groups to attend a special screening of the critically acclaimed film ‘Release’.

The film is a recording of a special commissioned theatrical performance, originally performed in 2012, depicting the lives of six very different men and their experiences during the height of The Troubles in Northern Ireland. These men include a former RUC Detective, a former Prison Governor, a former Soldier, two ex-prisoners and a bomb survivor.

The screening at the Studio Theatre at Lagan Valley Island on Thursday March 13 at 7.30pm will be immediately followed by a question and answer session with a Panel, including some of the individuals featured in the film.
