Cookstown man said cannabis was used to relieve back pain
A pre-sentence report has been in ordered in the case of a Cookstown man accused of possessing cannabis after two separate police raids at his home.
The court was told that Paul John Crawford, from Tullyveagh Road, told police during interview: “I just take it for pain relief.”
Police first went to the property on June 11, 2015, when it was said in court they found over 32grams of herbal cannabis worth around £600, in two bags.
On December 1 last year a further £30 worth of the drug was reportedly discovered.
The 45-year-old is due back in court on May 4.
