Coleraine fire ‘deliberate’

A fire at commercial premises at Hillman’s Fancy in Coleraine on Friday night is being treated as deliberate.

On Monday a spokesperson for the NIFRS told The Times: “The cause of the fire is being treated as deliberate, and the incident has been passed through to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.”

Around 50 fifty fire fighters from Coleraine, Ballymoney, Portrush, Portstewart and Kilrea battled the four hour blaze on Friday night.

The personel were able to prevented the fire spreading to a neighbouring oil depot
