Coffee day in aid of fund for Pikers club

Coffee drinkers are invited to raise their caffeine levels tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon and raise money in aid of the Portadown Pikers Fund at the same time.

It’s being organised at Costa Coffee at Rushmere Shopping Centre, with the cuppas available from 12 noon until 4pm, and manager Joanne Stewart invites everyone to go along and do their bit for the worthy cause.

The Pikers launched the fund this week, and the proceeds will go towards sustaining the families of the two men who died in the tragic accident on Lough Ree in County Westmeath – devoted fathers Daryl Burke and David Warnock.

Said Joanne, “It won’t be just the coffee tomorrow. There will be face painting and crafts for the kids along with an onsite DJ. We will be holding a raffle on the lead-up to the fundraiser, so come along and enjoy all aspects of the event.”
