This year’s first outing of Carnlough Community Association’s luncheon club to Stormont took place on Friday March 6.
The luncheon club has received unwavering support from weekly diners who enjoy a three-course meal and the opportunity to socialise and take part in activities and therapies including flower arranging, bingo and information sessions.
New members are always welcome, so contact the Carnlough Community Association office on 28 886188 for further information.
Meanwhile, Carnlough Bowling Club has increased its membership and now holds sessions on Monday from 7pm-10pm and on Thursday from 2pm-4pm.
In particular, membership amongst young people has grown and one of the key successes of the project is bringing together local young people and older residents.
Members have enjoyed opportunities such as training alongside Commonwealth medallist bowlers, as well as the social aspect and gentle exercise.
New members are always very welcome and should go along to Glenlough Community Centre.
