Battle of Atlantic

DERRY City councillors have been invited to the Londonderry branch of the Royal Naval Association’s annual Battle of the Atlantic interdenominational commemoration service in All Saints Church, Clooney on Sunday, May 8.

Branch secretary FJ Brown invited councillors to attend advising: “We hold this event every year to remember all those who gave their lives in the longest Battle of the Second World War that we might live in freedom as we do today and to remember also the part that our City played in those most difficult of times.”

Councillors were advised the service will be followed by a Parade and March Past to the Services Club, Spencer Road at approximately 1.15pm. The service will take place at 11am.
