Assault at playing fields is probed
Police in Ballymena are appealing for information following the report of an assault at playing fields in the Wakehurst Road area of the town on Thursday, May 19.
A PSNI spokesman said a man was assaulted by an unknown assailant at around 9pm on that date and added that police enquiries into the alleged incident are continuing.
Police are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to this incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000. Information about crime can also be passed anonymously to the crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
