ASDA's Sheila islocked up...for charity!

MAGILLIGAN Prison, opened its gates to allow The Cedar Foundation raise vital funds for the charity through an event named 'Jail and Bail.'

Sheila Palmer from ASDA Coleraine alongside representatives from St Mary’s College Derry, E.A. Davies, Accelerate Taxis, Boots Chemist, and PDQ Solutions, all agreed to ‘give themselves up’.

Mayor of Limavady, Cllr Cathal hOisn was present to oversee the arrests of the businesspeople who were then put into solitary confinement until their 500 bail money was raised- they were allowed to contact people on the outside for help.

Sheila said: “It was an experience I will definitely remember and I would seriously think twice before offending and ending up in jail for real!”

The Cedar Foundation works in partnership with disabled people across Northern Ireland providing quality support, care, accommodation and training services to enable disabled adults and children to participate in all aspects of community life.
