Are you brave enough for a zipline challenge?

Take on an adventure with altitude to raise lifesaving funds for the UKs leading meningitis charity.

Meningitis Now is hoping to see fundraising soar as they invite adrenaline junkies in Northern Ireland to take part in a zipline challenge on 16 April over the River Lagan, celebrating the charities 30th Anniversary fighting this deadly disease.

Jo Wilson, Community fundraiser at Meningitis Now, said: “Zip lining over the Lagan will be such a unique and adrenaline fuelled experience. It’s a great opportunity for the daredevils amongst you to do something that will make a huge difference to the thousands of families affected by meningitis every year.

“Every penny raised really does make a huge difference to our work and the people that we help, so shout about your challenge from the rooftops to raise all you can. We are here to support participants in their fundraising every step of the way.”

Registration for the event is now open.

Places cost £40 per person plus a minimum sponsorship of £80. You can register your interest at www.meningitisnow.org/zip or email [email protected] or call 0345 120 0663.

When taking part in an event for Meningitis Now, all proceeds will help fund vital research, awareness and support for people affected by the devastating disease.

Each year there are an estimated 6,000 cases of viral meningitis and 3,200 cases of bacterial meningitis in the UK. 1 in 10 cases of bacterial meningitis result in death and a third of those who survive will be left with debilitating after-effects.

Meningitis Now is the UK’s leading charity working to save lives and rebuild the futures of people affected by meningitis through research, support and awareness.
