As the winner she read out her poem at the Moira lights switch on last Wednesday and received a Christmas hamper from Santa.
‘What Christmas Means to Me’
Friends and family, joy and cheer
Christmas is that time of year
When people stop and think of others
Mums and Dads and sisters and brothers
Love and laughter, Santa is near
Christmas time is finally here!
Snow and fun, Christmas trees up high
Chocolates, pudding, a turkey, oh my!!
Building snowmen, so much fun
Christmas time is number one
Share a smile with a friendly stranger
Don’t forget Jesus lay in a manger
Mary had her baby in a stable
It even tells us in the Bible
For Christmas is the birthday of God’s only Son
So Christmas is my favourite number one.
