Twenty-one patients were transferred from a Ward in Altnagelvin on Thursday (November 27) after smoke was reported coming from a ‘bed pan washer.’
A spokesperson for the Western Heath and Social Care Trust (WHSCT) said the authority would like to thank its staff and the Emergency Services for their prompt response to the incident.
The Trust spokesperson said it was envisaged that the Ward would return to normal business later today.
