Investors interested in Coming to Londonderry. Londonderry is increasingly becoming a more viable option for companies looking to set up in Northern Ireland, according to the Industrial Development Board’s (IDB), annual report. The report shows that the number of potential investors who visited the city council more than doubled between the financial years 1997/98 and 1998/99.

Sainsbury’s openings for Local Companies. With seven weeks to go before Sainsbury’s opens its Strand Road store, Alan McKeown, the company’s trading specialist, this week spoke of to a number of local businesses about supplying opportunities with the supermarket chain at a cross-border ‘meet the buyer’ seminar. Companies from Londonderry, Donegal and Limavady attended the seminar, which was hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.
