Kilwaughter Village Hall Committee is to receive a £10,000 grant from The Big Lottery Fund.
The grant will allow the group to refurbish its kitchen, so that more activities can take place.
Chair Jonathan Moore welcomed the funding news.
“We are delighted to have been awarded £10,000 from the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All scheme,” he stated.
“This funding is being used to upgrade the kitchen in Kilwaughter Village Hall, thereby helping ensure we can continue to provide a high standard of facilities for the benefit of the local community.
“Kilwaughter Village Hall was established in 1958 and currently provides for a wide range of activities, including weekly old tyme dances and a bowling club, as well as being a popular venue for family occasions.
“I want to express our thanks to the Big Lottery Fund for their support and investment in maintaining the Hall as a vibrant, thriving and fit-for-purpose community resource.”
