NI100 centenrary Educational Programmes

As the centenary of the founding of Northern Ireland (May 2021) approaches, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Councils Good Relations team is inviting the public to participate in the first of their educational programmes being delivered as part of their contribution to Council’s NI100 programme.

Entitled Ethical and Shared Rewmembering: Remembering a Decade of Change and Violence 1912-1922, the programme is being delivered by The Junction.

The events of 1912 - 1922 changed the course of history on the island of Ireland. From being a part of the British Empire, it changed to being divided into an independent state on the one hand and a devolved administration within the UK on the other. To understand the why and how of any of the events it is important to look at the preceding events.
