Greenisland Church of Ireland Christmas Tree Festival

Greenisland Church of Ireland will be turned into a forest of Christmas trees for the ‘Joy To The World’ Christmas Tree Festival & Craft Fair between December 7-12.

The festival consists of 50 Christmas trees - each tree reflecting a theme retelling part of the Christian story.

The trees are individually decorated by different families/groups from the church and local community.

This is the second time the church had held a Christmas Tree festival.

There will be a wide range of Christmas craft to purchase and refreshments will be available throughout the festival which will be open on: December 7 8.30-10pm, after the Greenisland Community Carol Service; December 8 from 1pm-9pm; December 9 from 10am-9pm; December 10 from 2-5pm and Community Service at 6pm; December 11 from 1pm-9pm; and, December 12 from 1pm-9pm

Local groups and choirs will be playing and singing at various times during opening hours while people view the festival trees and will include the Greenisland Presbyterian Church Choir, Greenisland Girls Brigade, Greenisland Church of Ireland Choir, Johnston Star Flute Band Whiteabbey, Victoria Primary School, Abbey Community College, Greenisland Methodist Church Choir and the Silverstream PS choirs.

On the Saturday afternoon (2-4pm) there will be an opportunity for adults and kids to make Christmas craft gifts and cards in the church hall.
