Dominic McCann who lost 8 lbs this week said: “I have to hand it to Impact Boot Camp and Eating Plan. Like most I used to eat what I could when and where but mostly late at night after work. This plan has opened my eyes not only to nutritional food but food I can also fit into my every day work schedule.

“Losing 8lbs weight this week is incredible for me as I have been the same weight for the past two years no matter what I did.”

He added: “The training isn’t going to get any easier but with Irene pushing us I’m confident the weight will keep falling off.”

Ciara McConville lost 2 lbs. She said: “It took a big effort to get to book camp this morning as I had a migraine all weekend. I woke up and realised I had two choices. I could push past the pain and tiredness and just do it or lie in bed and let it be just another excuse. I’m glad I chose the first option.”

Paul Good lost 5lbs this week. He commented: “I’ve kicked off week three with renewed motivation. I am drinking lots of water and staying off the carbs (the hardest bit for me).

“Saturday morning boot camp at Wallace Park was tough but worth it (had to do something after being at a wedding on Friday), and another 5lbs off this week making a total of 11lbs in all so far.”

Barry Lappin lost 4 lbs this week. He said: “I have played football all my life and trained a couple of nights a week since I was no age. But when I became sick I stopped all activity because I was afraid of what could happen.

“Since starting boot camp I have found my love of exercising has returned. I now have the passion back and am no longer wanting to sit about and watch TV. The Biggest Loser has given me the chance I have been waiting for to get out on the road and run again.

“I look forward to the morning boot camp session. It can’t come quick enough. My energy levels have gone up and I feel stronger and fitter. My stamina is increasing with ever session.”

Colleen Breen lost 3 lbs. She said: “I have lost 13 pounds in two weeks and can’t wait to get measured as all my clothes are fitting me instead of bulging out of them. Exercise is vital for toning up. There is no point in losing weight and it all hanging out like loose beef. Going to Irene’s Bootcamp has definitely made me more motivated and healthier.”

Richard Wiseman, team leader lost 2 lbs. He commented: “This week the training has stepped up a notch, and I feel I can push myself a bit harder each session. Weekday 6am starts are tough until you get out of bed, then its surprisingly easy and I (almost) look forward to it. Saturday saw a return to a place which nearly finished me 20 years ago. Venue - Wallace Park, reason - Schools Cup Final, Coach - Brian McLaughlin. Stretching and looking toward the steps at the duckpond, I got shivers. This time I was prepared, don’t go too hard, pace yourself and you’ll be fine. 45 minutes of circuit training later, I had survived without having to crawl my way back to the others. Result. I feel stronger each time I train, and having entered the programme with a back problem, it seems to have cured it. After the initial bodyshock, I’m beginning to enjoy things now.”
