Rewards for persistence are plentiful

Trouble Will Find Me is the sixth album from The National and probably the band’s least accessible, writes Graeme Cousins.

That’s not to say the listener’s rewards for their persistence are not plentiful. The songs take a while to unravel, but when they do be prepared to have Matt Berninger’s haunting baritone in your head for days on end.

Demons, Sea Of Love, This Is The Last Time and Pink Rabbits are the stand out tracks on this album that begs to be nurtured.
