Something fishy going on at The Old Courthouse

TWO very recognisable movies from the big screen are being screened at The Old Courthouse during the South Antrim Fishing festival from May 21-28 which will feature fishing competitions and demonstrations, fish markets and culinary demonstrations.

The Fishing Festival is funded through GROW South Antrim – under Axes 3 & 4 of the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme 2007-2013 by the European Union and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

As part of the festival, The Old Courthouse will be showing two classic films on a fishy-related theme.

First up on Wednesday night, May 25 at 7.30pm is Jaws.

When a gigantic great white shark begins to menace the small island community of Amity, a police chief, a marine scientist and grizzled fisherman set out to stop it.

Tickets: £3/£2 concession and the film is rated PG.

Also being screened as part of the festival is Disney Pixar’s Finding Nemo.

A father-son underwater adventure featuring Nemo, a boy clownfish, stolen from his coral reef home, and his timid father, who must travel to Sydney and search Sydney Harbour to find him.

Finding Nemo will be shown on Friday, May 27 at 6pm

Tickets: £3/£2 concession and the film is rated U.

Meanwhile, London Classic Theatre Company will present Ghosts by Henrik Ibsen at The Old Courthouse on May 26 at 7.30pm. Tickets: £10/£8 concession
