Chic are back in town

CHIC featuring Nile Rogers will play the Mandela Hall on Wednesday, August 1.

Chic are probably the most influential band of the Disco era, responsible for classic singles including ‘Le Freak’, ‘Everybody Dance’, ‘I Want Your Love’ and ‘Good Times’, which was famously sampled by The Sugar Hill Gang on ‘Rappers Delight’.

Their now legendary guitarist / producer Nile Rodgers has gone on to produce some of the 20th century’s most memorable singles, including Madonna’s ‘Like A Virgin’, David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’, and Sister Sledge’s ‘We Are Family’, among many others.
