The Trust and partner Mid & East Antrim Borough Council are inviting members of the public to discover this enchanting Carrickfergus woodland by twilight.

Gather round the campfire to toast marshmallows and prepare to be transported on magical journeys with renowned storyteller Liz Weir. Young people will also have the chance to make their own lanterns, from recycled materials.

Michelle McCaughtry, the Woodland Trust’s people engagement officer, said: “Oakfield Glen is the most charming old woodland, well worth a visit and based on the success of previous events here, we’re delighted to invite families to a magical evening this autumn, in the run-up to Halloween. Simply wrap-up warm and prepare to be entertained.” While the event is free, booking in advance is essential visit www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/events or call 0330 333 5302.
