Top spots for Harriers women at Dervock Half Marathon

North Belfast Harriers runner Nat Glenn travelled to Greyabbey on Friday, July 10 to take part in the annual undulating two lap 10k course.

The evening was very wet and windy which meant the athletes were running into a head wind over the final 1200m of each lap.

This was Nat’s first outing in his new Vet 50 category, finishing 3rd overall in a time of 36.12.

On Saturday, July 18, Penny Lindsay and Janice Plumb travelled north for the Dervock Half Marathon, one of the toughest in the country.

Penny won the V45 and her team mate and Janice was 2nd, in times of 1:37:24 and 1:40:58 respectively.

The following day, John Black, fast becoming one of the leading runners to come out of Larne, headed to Fingal for the 10k, finishing 9th overall in a time of 33:36, and setting a massive PB.
