At North Belfast’s track races at Boys’ Model, Greg Lavery produced a fantastic 17:33 in the 17-minute race.
Next up was Trisha Campbell and Matthew McIlroy in the 18-20 minute race. Matthew raced very tactically for such a young man and came away with a personal best and a time of 18:55. Trisha recorded a time of 20:52.
In the 21-23 minute race, Carol Clarke produced the run of the day and a massive PB in a time of 22:55.
Ballyclare May Fair 5k and 10k races: Janice Plumb returned to form and set a new PB of 42:30 in the 10k, which was good enough to pick up the female VET 45 prize.
In the 5k, NBH brothers Matthew and Callum McIlroy, keep getting better with every race outing.
Matthew was third overall in 21:10, and his 11-year-old brother, Callum, was fifth in a time of 21:29.
