St Comgall’s are the 2013-14 Larne and District Snooker League champions after one of the closest title races in years.

Any of three teams could have won it and the Saints were three up as word came through that in-form Ballyclare Golf Club ‘A’ had beaten Latharna 3-2.

This gave the Saints the incentive to go on and win 4-1 in a tough match away at Greenbank ‘B’.

Team manager Anthony McCorry was pleased with his team’s result and delighted to get over the finish line in what has been a long season with many twists and turns. His team can now concentrate on the remaining cup competitions.

Latharna will be dissapointed with their recent dip in form, and should be back next season as strong as ever. Ballyclare Golf Club have improved so much this year also proved they are serious title contenders for next season.

The Point will be pleased with their performance this season with a great fourth place.
