All three East Antrim sides playing in Saturday’s first-round matches in the Danske Bank Schools’ Cup fell at the first hurdle.

Larne Grammar went down 10-3 at home to Royal School Armagh, Carrickfergus Grammar lost 45-10 at Royal School Dungannon and Belfast High were beaten on home turf, 21-7 by Foyle College.

The draw for the second round of this season’s competition, made following the conclusion of the first-round matches sees Ballyclare High School welcome RS Dungannon to Hollinger Park. The fixture is sheduled for January 23.
