McGurk signs for Tranmere
TRANMERE Rovers have completed the signing of Northern Ireland U-21 international Adam McGurk.
The Larne-born striker, a product of the Aston Villa youth system, made a late appearance off the bench in the recent 3-1 home defeat by Swansea in the Carling Cup.
McGurk joined Rovers on trial three last month and signed on a non-contract basis after impressing in a friendly against Liverpool.
He was included in recent squads against Walsall and Huddersfield Town, came on as a substitute against Bournemouth and scored in an outing for the Reserves.
He has agreed a season-long contract with the League One club.
Manager Les Parry said McGurk was a bright prospect adding that he had performed well and shown excellent attitude and ability.
