Carrick Rangers first-team coach Gary Haveron has been rubbing shoulders with former Leeds United and Liverpool winger Harry Kewell.

The former Australian international, who won 56 caps for his country, is among a number of big names from the world of football being put through their paces at the Irish FA National Coaching Course in Belfast.

Photographer Bill Guiller snapped Larne man Haveron sharing a joke with Kewell, 36, at Queen’s Sport, Upper Malone.

Haveron led Carrick to a domestic treble last season, winning Championship 1, the Intermediate Cup and the Steel and Sons Cup.
