Larne’s Julie Nelson has been named in the Northern Ireland senior women’s team which will wrap up its 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign with a double-header against Poland and the Faroe Islands.
With 69 caps to her name, the Glasgow City Ladies defender is the most experienced player selected in Alfie Wylie’s 18-strong panel.
They take on Poland on Saturday afternoon (September 13) at the Public Stadium, Torun.
On Wednesday, the face Faroe Islands at Mourneview Park, Lurgan (7.30 pm kick-off).
Northern Ireland, who are bottom of Group 4, will be looking to restore pride in their remaining games. They have yet to win a match or score a goal after eight qualifying games.
