Moyle Primary School pupil Jamie Kleijn will have her design as Larne Football Club’s anniversary badge for the upcoming season.

The club launched a competition in May in an effort to find a special badge on their playing shirts for in their 125th anniversary season.

The competition was opened to all Primary 7 pupils across Larne schools and was eventually whittled down to Jamie’s effort.

Ian Cahoon, from the club’s 125th Anniversary Committee, said: “We were really impressed by the quality of all the entries.

“It made picking the short list a difficult job, but we’re really looking forward to seeing it on the shirts next season.

“We wanted to raise some awareness that it was the club’s 125th Anniversary, because it’s such a landmark year for the club.

“We also wanted to do something with the school children of the town and this allowed us to do that.”

Jamie has also won a family season ticket for the 2014/15 campaign and will present the shirt to the club before the first game of the season, when Larne welcome Ballyclare Comrades to Inver Park on Saturday 9th August.
